We are a friendly team, that is passionate about keeping children safe and we’re recruiting to two great jobs – a Team Leader for our Plymouth schools team and a Children’s Workshop Facilitator working in South Devon and Plymouth schools.
A CAP UK Workshop Facilitator works as part of a team of facilitators that visit primary schools . The team work with whole class groups, delivering a scripted workshop in pairs. The job also involves using role-play with the children in the interactive workshop. On occasions, a facilitator may need to deal with disclosures from children. Facilitators will be needed to attend additional training sessions and meetings. The CAP project also runs staff and parent training sessions and facilitators are asked to occasionally support the Team Leader in the delivery of these.
The Team Leader is a diverse role that involves marketing our programme to schools and booking workshops; delivery of children and adult sessions; as well as managing a small team of 3 or 4 facilitators and additional sessional workers.
Both roles are part time with an annual hours contract and are funded by the Big Lottery Fund until Feb 2021. Hours are worked in line with our bookings in schools The facilitator is not needed every week in term time, but when in school, will usually be needed for 18 hours (6 hours each day across 3 days). The Team Leader role averages out to 26 hours per week in term time.
CAP children’s workshops usually run on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays but we also hold team meetings on Thursday mornings once a month. Early starts are often involved to get to a school by 8.15am and the Team Leader role will also involve occasional evenings. Own transport is essential for these roles. A mileage allowance is paid.
Salary: Team Leader £13.64 /hour
Salary: Facilitator: £11.19 /hour
