We are delighted to share news that the Gibbons Family Trust have awarded us £2000 towards the cost of our parent and staff workshops next year. Working with the community of adults around the children who attend our workshops is an essential element of CAP’s approach to keeping children Safe, Strong and Free.

Our workshops empower children to tell trusted adults about things they feel uncomfortable or scared about, but we know that many adults – parents and professionals alike – lack confidence and knowledge about how to talk to children about abuse and assault prevention. To build safer communities for children we recognise that in addition to helping children to learn how to stay safe we also need to equip the adults around them with the skills to support children with these difficult subjects.

Thanks to the Gibbons Family Trust we have now raised 75% of our fundraising target for 2019-20 adult workshop sessions, 4 months before the start of the academic year. If you would like to contribute and help us reach our goal there are some great ways to get involved. Enter the River Dart Mud Run and raise sponsorship for us, choose your own sponsored event or challenge or simply make a personal or business donation.
